Consistent updates have only made Dying Light 2 better, and now Dead Island 2 finds itself in a trickier situation as many players will likely return to Techland’s game to experience its new limited-time event. Dying Light 2 Stay Human isn’t even out yet it hits PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC on February 4 and while the base game offers 500 hours of gameplay, Techland is already excited to share what’s next for the game after its launch. The new update’s dismemberment system seeks to give Dying Light fans a taste of Dead Island’s FLESH system, and the Viral Rush event will continue to emphasize the importance of parkour, one of the major differences between the two franchises.ĭead Island has seen a decade-long hiatus, and within that time Techland developed and launched two zombie games that married Dead Island’s FPS fighting with greater world exploration. While the original Dead Island kickstarted a push into first-person zombie games, Dying Light is not resting on its laurels.
